In general, this is an excellent image. I see a tremendous strength of will, not just in the vulnerable resolve of the facial expression, but even in the hair style. To have years worth of hair commitment, then to shave one strip with the few hairs below is a strong act of conscious will.
It's easy to say that hair will grow back, but years of maintenance swept away by one bad stroke is something that most folks can't face.
Even if there's a life event that makes folks care about little else, not many would cut their hair.
I really like this image.
Great shading and also like how the pencil strokes are visible.
