This piece is so impressive! I find this one of the most detailed interpretations of Phorusrhacos. The Phorusrhacos are my absolute favorite of the Phorusrhacids. The feathers and shadowing are outstanding! How do you do it? If you are fascinated by these birds, there's a book by a guy named James Robert Smith called The Flock about surviving Titanis in Florida. I read it and it's one of my favorite novels.
It just occurred to me that I've never seen art of the Phorusrhacos despite its most horrid predatory reputation. An illustration that sticks in my mind to this day is of it eating small, dog-like mammals in Dinosaurs to Dodos.
